Finally the cat is out of bag!
RY Deshpande could wait no longer… time is indeed running out.
This was the final chance for RY Deshpande’s Ego to try to bask, even if only in the pale, grey twilight of it’s life.
Fueled by the ambitious but ephemeral powers of distorted reflections of a fraudulent Helios, with a final stroke of a frustrated arrogance and gasping for self-importance, RY Deshpande has finally proclaimed that:
He is Wiser, more Enlightened and Devoted to Sri Aurobindo’s poem Savitri than The Mother ever was!!!
Because, if The Mother had no reason to have the 1950-51 edition of Savitri republished, and instead had Dr. Nirodbaran and Mr. Amal Kiran work on two more editions (1954 and 1970/1972) under Her guidance, during a period spanning more than two decades, She must have certainly done so in Her own Wisdom.
But The Mother’s wishes and actions quite evidently seem to matter little to a self-proclaimed visionary of the style of RY Deshpande.
It becomes equally apparent that RY Deshpande’s eulogies of Dr. Nirodbaran and more recently of Mr. Amal Kiran are not only steeped in deep hypocrisy but are evidently entirely aimed at his self-promotion.
Because if the editions of Savitri that followed the 1950-51 edition are of inferior quality and value, as enunciated by RY Deshpande, the decades of work undertaken by Dr. Nirodbaran and Mr. Amal Kiran, especially those under The Mother’s guidance have evidently served little purpose according to RY Deshpande.
For if this were not so, why would RY Deshpande proclaim that:
“This edition should be the proper basis for every academic and scholarly discussion, even as it is the most valuable possession for the lovers of Savitri that takes them closer to the Yogi-Poet who has gifted to us his consciousness through it.”
The cat is out of the bag indeed.
But with its nine lives already gone, will there be a tenth one this time?

RYD’s hypocrisy is nothing new.
All along he has been insinuating that Nirod-da and Amal Kiran were morons. Of course, he was always too much of a coward to say it openly. So he would slyly misquote The Mother in an attempt to hide behind Her words. But his ploy was short lived and anyone interested to find out more about this soon found out how RYD was twisting words just in order to denigrate them.
Shame on him.

I think you are being too harsh in your opinion about Shri RY Deshpande-ji. He is a very conscious being and a very self-conscious being too – aware of his aquatic origin – the primordial waters of the original soup which gave birth to us all. Listen to his voice ( the poetic quality here may be not be up to the mark – but look at the accuracy of his description of himself) in Canto 13 from his own Pseudo- EPIC called “The Birth of SAVITR”
“In dismal river was born the tadpole ego
Who claimed forthwith the universe for its use
And brought falsehood to run the enterprise,
And hired a serpent to guard the sleeping treasure……”
This may not be a greatly inspiring piece of epic-poetry, you may not even acknowledge it as a piece of poetry at all, but you must not hold that against him. After all, he was never a student of poetry but he is only an unclear scientist. However you will surely agree that he is a scientist-psychologist for this is indeed a remarkable piece of introspective-confession. Until now of course he had no enterprise to run – so to prove his point he has ultimately created one enterprise for himself in the form of some website called “savitri.in” or “savitr.in’ or something like that. I have also no exact knowledge of his hirelings that he has employed for that enterprise but he must have surely described them also very accurately in his above quoted Canto 13.
Please give due respect to his KNOWLEDGE, which he may not be be accessing too often these days as there is the danger of the she-frog being fairly strict with the tadpole.

All this while I thought the Frog Prince and Prof. Kamal Das were tadpolar opposites in every way: in age, height, weight, eloquence, glibness quotient, dress sense, gesticulation abilities, facial visibility, hair grooming quality, etc. However the above post reveals a sinister similarity once one penetrates below the surface deeper into the well: our Prince too (albeit in his uniquely amphibious style) is a frogue of the first order.
